Have you ever been in a fairy tale? Have you felt its magic in reality?

I just returned from a fairy tale called Småland.

Here comes my experience and the little story about it.

There are thousands of places on our planet which have charm and coziness but if you want to find peace, just go to Småland. 

Every day I went to the forest and just sat down on a stone and breathed. I closed my eyes and listened to the …nothing… silence. Sometimes the birds and rabbits made me notice I was not alone there but most of the time I was roaming around the magic forests alone. I was fascinated by the light. That is not just sunlight which I saw before. It was transparent, it was low and clear. 

Some kind of transparent yellow color of the sunlight comes together with the soft green of the trees, plus the old dry moss and the fresh ones of the stones, making the Småland forest a heaven on the earth.

There are many articles and stories about these forests but I think you should see this magic with your own eyes to feel the nature and the peace hidden in it. 

July is a real time of blueberries, so we gathered some in the forest to make jam. Oh, the smell of the fresh berries is unforgettable. Have you ever gathered berries in the forest and made your own jam? Try it, if you have not done it yet. It is very satisfying and after you have filled the glasses, you feel like a “little hero”, who managed to create something tasty. 

Let us come back to the forest.

Sure, there were a lot of bloodsucking creatures there. The “Småland mosquitos” loved me but that was worth it. The beauty of the forest lights and that relaxation were irreplaceable. Most of the time I was out “hunting the lights”, shooting photos and after the work was done I sat down somewhere in the forest to forget the world and its problems at least for some minutes.

I am already counting the days till I am there again for my next shooting.
