Covid19 or a Myth?

Since the end of March Germany, like many other countries around europe, has to deal with the COVID-19 . Many private businesses and cafes have been closed and a lot of citizens lost their jobs. This all made some part of the people go against the  governmental restrictions and refuse them.

On Saturday, August 1, the streets of the german capital were filled with marching citizens of different nationalities, who raised their voices against the restrictions of the government.

According to the officials, about 20000 people took part in the protest against Covid19 and wearing the masks.

They have claimed, that the virus is a way to spread panic and fear among people and they do not want to hide their faces under the masks any longer, as it  is a restriction of their freedom.

The masses of people kept on marching along the central parts of Berlin holding posters with different slogans encouraging the freedom. Even the mask was compared with underwear that can also easily be pulled over the face for protection. The protestors were holding self made posters with slogans like “Who sleeps during the corona crisis, will wake up in a dictatorship” or “The mask should be away, no compulsory vaccination”. Not only the slogans were different also the composition of the protestors was very heterogeneous.

Some people claimed, “The germans need Jesus”, some  representatives of the Krishna appeared among the protesters.

There was also a small group of citizens who believed the new technology, like 5G  was a big problem. Still the biggest part of the protestors was sure, there is no COVID-19 at all.

This was one of the biggest protests Berlin has faced up till now, which started al 11 AM at the well known Brandenburg Gate and continued till evening. After all, the officials had to make people finish the demonstration because the civilists did not keep the set rules of keeping the distance of 1,5 meters and wearing masks.

The protest “Tag der Freiheit”, which means The day of the Freedom went peacefully. There were still some people who overreacted. Small groups of people, as “Opposite Protest”, who provoked the demonstrants by calling” Go home, you bring us into danger”.

The last station of the protesters was the 17 June Street, where they had organised a stage to make speeches. By the evening the police occupied the stage, arrested people among them the author Thorsten Schulte and made the protesters leave the place.

During the last hours the protesters were running out of fresh water but they kept on “struggling for their right” and continued saying that this kind of protests were going to be organised again.
